I've been where you are right now!
I used to see all of these 'big' florists, getting huge budgets, dreamy brides and a whole lot of engagement on Instagram.
I used to always think i needed more experience, more photoshoots, more money, a Pinterest-worthy studio, a perfect face, a van and a team to be able to land the weddings they were.
I was completely wrong!
I was working in hospitality jobs, i was unhappy and just praying that one day i could call this my full-time job.
Through lockdown we didn't have any weddings and didn't have a whole lot up our sleeves from past weddings. This is when i turned all of my energy towards learning about social media marketing and all things Instagram.
I just started trying everything. It was tunnel vision: GROW THIS BUSINESS
I started learning about how to write an effective caption (not just a cute emoji). I learnt how reels work and what's trending. I put my ideal client front of mind and stopped fearing judgement from other people.
I took BIG action and have built my flower business to what it is today. I'm so proud of it and the work i put in to make it happen.
Praying, wishing, dreaming, hoping that clients will just land in your lap is a waste of time. You have to get out there and put in the work to turn your dreams into a reality.
